SCHOOL NEWS:
On this date in history - in 1639, representatives from Wethersfield, Windsor, and Hartford adopted the Fundamental Orders of Connecticut, the first constitution in the American colonies. Also on January 14, 1784, the Continental Congress ratified the Treaty of Paris, bringing the American Revolution to an end. And if today is your birthday, you share it with Benedict Arnold (one of history’s most famous traitors), actors Carl Weathers, LL Cool J, and Jason Bateman. CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES:
Did you know that the Japanese language uses 4 different alphabets, many times in one sentence? On Thursday, January 15th, the Japanese Club will learn to read and write the Hiragana alphabet. Then we will enjoy traditional Japanese New Year's food while learning about New Year's in Japan. All are welcome!
Unified for Underprivileged Girls will have its next meeting on Thursday, January 14th, in Rm 256 after school.
