SCHOOL NEWS: 

The National Honor Society will be holding a review session on January 12th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Cafeteria. Students who are interested in attending must scan the QR code on the flier to sign up.

On January 9, 1788, Connecticut became the fifth state to join the union with a 128 to 40 vote in the Connecticut state convention.  Connecticut was a strong supporter of joining the union in large part because of its role in helping inspire the creation of a bicameral legislature in the federal government. Known by most as the “Great Compromise”, it was also known as the “Connecticut Compromise” solving the rift between larger and smaller states during the formative stages of our nation. Also on this date in 2007, Apple CEO Steve Jobs announced the iPhone. Thanks for listening to this date in history.

CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES: 

The Science Bowl team is hosting a ‘Double Good Popcorn’ online shop from January 8th at 5 pm thru January 11th. Purchase popcorn for yourself or donate to first responders. Proceeds will help offset regional competition fees. Scan the QR code in the flyers around the school to order
